Welcome to SHIFT. Your privacy matters to us, and we want to be transparent about how we handle your information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account Information
Your email address and display name, provided when you create an account via email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. A unique user ID is assigned by our authentication provider to associate your activity with your account.
Profile Photo (optional)
If you choose to add a profile photo from your camera or photo library, it's uploaded to our secure storage and linked to your account. You can change or remove it anytime from Profile.
Session and Usage Data
Information about how you interact with the app, including:
Device and Technical Information
Non-personal technical details including device type, operating system version, and app version. Crash reports and performance diagnostics may also be collected to help us identify and fix issues.
Beyond an optional profile photo you choose to add, we do not collect your location, contacts, other media files, microphone audio, or camera data.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
SHIFT is built on services provided by other companies. These services may process your data on our behalf. We encourage you to review each provider's privacy policy.
Google Firebase
Used for account authentication, data storage, and usage analytics.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat is integrated for future subscription management and signs in with your user ID each time you open the app. No subscription or purchase features are available to users yet.
Google Sign-In
Optional sign-in method using your Google account.
Sign in with Apple
Optional sign-in method using your Apple ID.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or marketers. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed above, and only as necessary to operate the app.
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account remains active. You can delete your account from within the app by opening Profile, selecting My account, and choosing Delete account. You can also contact us to request deletion of your account or personal data. We will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days of a valid deletion request. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls on our database. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SHIFT is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
